    • L4-L6: Burgundy uniform

    • All levels must wear convertible pink or skin color tights and ballet shoes that match the color of their chosen tights.

    • L2-L6 Purchase: Child Size Leotard  |  Adult Size Leotard

  • Ballet Option #2

    • L1: Blue uniform shirt

    • L2: Dark Green uniform shirt

    • All Levels must wear convertible black shorts or tights with black ballet shoes to class​

• For all elective classes, dancers should wear black bottoms (shorts, leggings, or sweatpants) with a comfortable top.

  • Electives

    • Hip-hop: Clean sneakers, 

    • Jazz: Black jazz shoes

    • Composition/Contemporary: Black socks

    • Ballroom: Heeled ballroom shoes (feminine) or flat ballroom shoes (masculine)

    • Stretch & Conditioning: Barefoot

    • Tap: Black Tap shoes (L3-L6 lace up)

Additional Dress Code Guidelines

• Level 1 dancers may wear white ankle socks instead of tights if preferred.

• Dancers wearing jeans or other casual, non-dance attire will not be permitted to participate in class and will be asked to observe.

• Remove all warm-ups before entering the studio.

• Ballet skirts are permitted.

• Shorts may be worn during menstruation.

• Students in Levels 3–6 may wear a non-uniform leotard or dance shirt during rehearsals.

• Students in Levels 4–6 may wear a non-uniform leotard or dance shirt for Wednesday classes only.

Hair Guidelines

BR supports the CROWN Act, which protects individuals from discrimination based on hair texture and protective hairstyles. 

• Hair should be neatly secured away from the face and, when possible, worn in a ballet bun.

• Protective styles, including braids that lie close to the head, are welcome.

• Short hair should be neatly secured away from the face.

• Ponytails are not allowed during ballet classes unless otherwise instructed.

Jewelry & Personal Belongings

• Please avoid wearing jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and watches. Medical alert jewelry and medical devices are always permitted.

• Label all personal belongings, especially shoes and water bottles.

Ballet Shoes

Please do not wear ballet shoes outside the studio unless you are walking directly on a dance floor. This helps keep the studio floors clean and extends the life of your shoes.
